Tawburn House is a Victorian property situated within level walking distance of all village amenities. It has a covered veranda and private garden with sitting areas.

Tawburn House was first registered as residential home in 1982 to provide high standards of care and accommodation for older people. Anne and Des Underwood became the registered providers of Tawburn House on the 1st November 2003. They live within close proximity and are both fully involved in the running of the home and are committed fully to the needs of the residents.

An increasing number of our residents are requiring higher level of support, therefore we are committed to ensuring that all concerned with the care of our residents are equipped with on-going training support, seeking advice, introducing appropriate aids and equipment and being aware of the higher dependency levels.

Whilst we recognize that our resident’s needs are ever changing our aim is to provide them with a comfortable, relaxed, homely and secure environment in which their care and well being is of prime importance. Our philosophy of care revolves around the rights of our residents. We continue to value each individual and the care team strives to maintain the dignity, individuality and privacy of all residents with a warm, loving and caring atmosphere. Individual wishes and needs whether medical, psychological, emotional, cultural, spiritual or social will be respected, as will the following core values of care which are fundamental to the philosophy of our home.
